The Grinberg method
The Grinberg method was developed by Avi Grinberg in the 70s.The method is based on deep listening to the body and development of deep attention to the life experience expressed thru it.The body is an exact mirror of all what we are.Every cell of our body contains the memories of all our experiences.It contains Patterns of behavior, perception, beliefs, and conclusions according to which we approach life.
Also the emotional world and our basic needs are clearly presented in our body, and we can acknowledge it when we pay attention and learn about ourselves.Through touch, presence, breathing, and motion, we have the option to return to the freedom we had when we were children, this happens when we recognize and free ourselves from our automatic patterns.Using the basic elements of the method, you can diagnose by a reading of the soles of the feet the present state in all of life levels (physical, emotional, behavioral, and perceptual).We continue the process of fixation release and development of new life states options, in order to realize much more of our fundamental potential.The basic concept expresses the understanding that for most of us there is a gap between who we are and what we can be.
This gap is embodied in various forms and causes suffering.On the physical level it causes symptoms and diseases.The body is a great way to "enter into our inner core" and restore our balance, mainly because it is less manipulative than our mind.Working thru the body is by an experience, and not just by understanding and it enable us to "perceive at real-time" the various instances of our divers parts, identify and modify them.
The whole process increases significantly our sense of the "Center,” our freedom of choice, and the transition from victim logic to "take charge" Attitude. Those, who choose such a process, actually choose to be an active scholar and to take full responsibility for their own life.
How a meeting is conducted:
We start with a diagnostic meeting, and watch together, out of the information reflected in the person’s feet.How life is experienced in the present, what the person has to do for a full realization of himself, where his quality of life was impaired and how to improve it.We establish a working plan, a very practical and focused plan, and we continue to meet on a weekly basis.
In every meeting, we will start by looking briefly at the soles of the feet and see the changes occurring over time.As the session continues, the person will lie on the treatment table (sometimes sitting or standing) and work the body by contact, guidance, breathing, motion and other methods.
